fahrenheit 451 essay on medium

I published another, slightly better (IMHO) version of the Fahrenheit 451 essay I wrote.

You can read it HERE.

  1. Okay, so Medium was being annoying and it didn't let my type my response to your essay, so I'll respond here.

    WOW. Like... WOWOWOWOW.

I hate essays. I hate reading essays. I hate writing essays. However, I actually really enjoyed reading yours, and it helped me understand the book a lot more. I liked the first few paragraphs of the essay; I thought they were super interesting to read. It's cool how I can relate to you in that over time, reading became something I was almost forced to do. I did it for classes, and that's it. Believe it or not, I absolutely LOVED reading as a kid. Now I kinda just skim through everything. Seeing the book from your perspective helped make things a lot clearer for me. In all honesty, as bad as this may sound, when I was reading F451 I wasn't really paying attention to things like themes and stuff. Reading your thoughts on the theme helped me understand the book a lot more, because now I can connect actions and events to an idea. I also would've never compared Montag to Hamlet, but it was interesting to see how you made a connection between the two.

Though you got a B on your Hamlet essay, I give you an A+ on this one.
